The Community of Mutual Delight

In the Old Covenant, outside of the promised land, Joshua and Caleb said to the congregation of the people of Israel:

"If the LORD delights in us, He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey" (Numbers 14:8).

In the New Covenant, there is no longer an "IF the Lord delights in us, He will..."; He already unceasingly, exquisitely and eternally delights, rejoices, blisses, celebrates, feasts and pleasures in you in Christ.

My daughters were getting ready for their favourite day of school this morning. It is their favourite not merely because it is the day before the weekend--it is because Friday is 'Show and Share' day.  They plan days ahead and bring in something to school that they value to show the class and share it with them.
